BC Motorcycle Tours is a small, family-run touring company that specialises in providing guided motorcycle tours in Mainland Europe and the United States of America.
Since 2009, we have been facilitating tours with a difference. We have always ensured that customer satisfaction is at the heart of everything that we do. Our small group sizes and competitive prices have allowed our customers to ride some of the best roads in the world, whilst getting fantastic value for money and a friendly atmosphere time and time again.
Our friendly, experienced tour guides are always on hand to help before and during the tours to allow every rider to feel confident with their own ride. We believe strongly that riding as a group works best when everyone in the group feels safe and supported and works together. Smaller groups have allowed us to stay in the more traditional, authentic hotels, dine in local restaurants and make friends along the way, and it is these friendship and local contacts that have added a real special touch to all of our tours.
We have always gone the extra mile to make sure that the only part our customers need to think about is the ride. The admin team deal with all the hard work in the background, allowing the customer to sit back and relax. We don’t offer extras or upgrades as we always deliver the best packages for our customers from the start. As a result, we are very proud to say that over 30% of our customers each year are returnees.
In 2019 BC Motorcycle Tours secured ABTOT bonding so that their customers could book with confidence knowing that their money was secure after making a booking.
The Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Limited (ABTOT) provides financial protection under
The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 for Blue Cucumber Tours Limited
(Trading as BC Motorcycle Tours) Membership Number 5413, and in the event of their insolvency, protection is provided for the following:
1. non-flight packages and
2. flight inclusive packages that commence outside of the EEA, which are sold to customers outside of the EEA.
ABTOT cover provides for a refund in the event you have not yet travelled or repatriation if you are abroad. Please note that bookings made outside the EEA are only protected by ABTOT when purchased directly with [member name].
In the unlikely event that you require assistance whilst abroad due to our financial failure, please call our 24/7 helpline on 01702 811397 and advise you are a customer of an ABTOT protected travel company.

We look forward to hearing from you and until then, as always, ride safe!
MEET OUR TEAM, GUIDES & INSTRUCTORS
TOUR GUIDE & OWNER
Darren has designed every tour that we offer. His love for biking has grown from the age of 3 and his experience spans road biking, trials riding, motocross, enduro and off-road adventures. This diverse understanding of all things bike places him well as one of our Tour Guides, leading tours in the US (where our early tours began) and in mainland Europe, where he lived for a number of years. He is passionate about the quality and skills of those that work for and with BC Motorcycle Tours, always ensuring that they have the appropriate level skills and knowledge to ensure you have a safe, exciting and enjoyable motorcycle adventure.
Amy's role within our team is both indispensable and broad. If you need a question answering, she tends to be the one to ask. Her approachability and sound organisational skills ensure that your pre-departure planning runs smoothly and excitingly. She has a wealth of experience both in the UK office and in-country on tour, leading and driving the support vehicle on our annual Normandy D-Day Tour and several others in the US. Her background in Drama Therapy means that she particularly enjoys our work with BT4TW, for whom she also organises a cracking annual Charity Black Tie Event. Amy is a people person and is passionate about helping you get the most out of your tour.
OFFICE & SALES MANAGER
Andy has been a part of our team since 2015. He is an extremely experienced rider and is first aid trained to an advanced level. His knowledge of military history proves invaluable when leading our Normandy D-Day challenges in France, where he never fails to amaze an audience of keen listeners, many of whom aren't even part of our group and join in to hear his captivating tales! He is our much appreciated font of knowledge and with experience leading groups all over the world, he is a confident, competent tour guide whose organisation keeps us on track when we need it most.
TOUR GUIDE & HISTORIAN
Paul joined our team of tour guides in 2018. As an ex-motorcycle instructor Paul brings a wealth of experience to the team and is always on hand to give helpful riding tips to anyone attending any of our tours. In addition Paul has a strong understanding of how tours are run at BC Motorcycle tours as he has completed many different tours and challenges since 2014. His friendly, approachable personality and knowledge of motorcycle touring ensures he is able to help us make your ride an adventure.
TOUR GUIDE & INSTRUCTOR
Pete began his journey with us several years ago when he discovered our American tours. He is an excellent rider and has since become part of our team as a valued tour guide, having toured with us in both the US and across Europe. We love having guides who have adventured with us previously as they understand both the staff and customer experience well. Pete is a true asset to our small team.
If ever you have your photo taken at one of our events, it will most probably be by Milly. She looks after our social media and whips her camera out when we would otherwise forget to take a photo of a beauty spot. In 2019 she joined us on our Chicago-LA tour and provided each adventurer with edited photos and a summary video at the end of the tour - something we hope to provide on more tours in the future so that you can capture those special moments. She is also our team eco-warrior and is helping us develop our sustainability policy to ensure we are appropriately demonstrating corporate social responsibility.
BIKE TOURS FOR THE WOUNDED
Our chosen charitable organisation
Bike Tours for the Wounded C.I.C (BT4TW) is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company that provides direct and indirect support to both serving members and veterans of the UK's armed forces. Through fundraising they offer these individuals a variety of trips on the back of a motorcycle, touring in America and Europe. BC Motorcycle Tours is the proud tour operator for these tours and works tirelessly to ensure the highest levels of participant satisfaction for both the riders and the individuals BT4TW supports.
BT4TW supports all services and all ranks of those who have served our country whether they are wounded, injured or sick where their injury, physical or mental has been considered to be career- or life-limiting. If you know someone who you believe fits this criteria then BT4TW is here to help. Each year BT4TW takes groups of beneficiaries on four trips to America and one to Normandy for the D-Day Celebrations. If you have ever considered doing one of these tours, why not tick it off your bucket list whilst offering a seat to one of their worthy beneficiaries.
