Tour Overview
Your tour guides will meet you at a prearranged time and location near the Eurotunnel in Folkestone. Once we are all together and refuelled we'll check in and board the train to Calais. On arrival in France we'll take a steady ride to our first hotel in Tinqueux for the night. The following morning you will be guided through France into Germany where we start to explore the beautiful Black Forest region, ending the day at a great hotel for dinner and a bed for the night. Then continuing down the famous B500 we cross the border into Austria to our fabulous 5* hotel for the next 5 nights. During your stay here, you have the option to join one of our many guided ride outs, take yourself out on a ride of your choice or simply relax in the amazing surroundings or onsite spa. On leaving this hotel we take a different route through Garmisch-Partenkirchen back into the Black Forest for another nights hotel stay. Then its back to our hotel in France for the last night together before the journey to Calais and the train home.

Folkestone to Tinqueux, France
Miles: 192
We meet in Folkestone at the Eurotunnel for the start of your biking adventure. After a short 35 minute crossing we begin our journey along the French countryside to the town of Tinqueux to our first hotel. Your booking is arranged by our admin team and included in the cost.of your tour.
After a welcoming briefing our guests can choose either to dine in the hotel for the evening with our tour guides or at one of the many local restaurants
The hotel has secure parking for our bikes and is perfectly situated for the start of this Black Forest and Alps adventure.
Tinqueux to Oberkirsch, Germany
Miles: 277
On the second day of riding you will enjoy the views of the beautiful French countryside for the morning. After a leisurely lunch break you will then be lead north into Germany’s Black Forest along the famous B500. You'll be blown away as you ride through tree lined roads over hill tops revealing amazing valley views and rolling hills that are full of grape vines.

Your penultimate rest stop for the day is on a hillside popular with paragliders, as the hillsides and air streams provide good gliding conditions, so don’t be surprised if you see and hear one or two over your head.
​
Then this will be followed by a short ride to our next Hotel where you'll be welcomed by the hotel staff for another relaxing stay. You'll dine together at the hotel.
Oberkirsch to Kaunertal
Miles: 238
You'll start the day with an amazing breakfast at the hotel before heading off on the amazing B500 through the Black Forest. This road has been described as one of the best riding roads in Europe.

It would be rude not to take a break at a cafe for some Black Frost Gateaux so rest assured your tour guide will do just that.
​
Your reward for the days riding will become all too clear to see once you arrive at your 5* hotel for the night. This will be your home for the next four nights. You will be greeted with a glass of snaps and a four course evening meal.​Your stay includes breakfast and a four course meal every day. You are also welcome to use the Spa facilities in the Hotel during you tay. For those who are partial to a dip we strongly recommend the infinity pool outside.

Your tour guides will be leading a number of different ride outs from your hotel so you can chose to join them or if you prefer, you could chose to ride one of 9 different routes at your own pace. (Maps and guidance will be provided if you chose this option) The owners of this remarkable hotel are keen bike riders, they provide some breath taking riding routes around the local areas, and have lots of recommendations for exploring the Black Forest and surrounding areas.

Our pre-organised rides will include a ride up to the Kaunertal Glacier, a ride over the Ofenpass Pass and the famous Stelvio Pass for those who haven't had to joy of visiting these destinations already.
​
Its always great to know that the hotel offers coffee and cake in the afternoon in case you feel a little peckish after your days ride.

Kaunertal to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany

This morning as you leave behind the tranquility of you last five nights stay in Austria you'll lead along some of the best roads that Austria has to offer. You'll ride along the SS44 Strada Statale which is absolutely breath taking and a favour for our tour guides.
​
You'll get the opportunity to stop for some lunch and a potter in the beautiful old town of Innsbruck. Here you'll get the chance to purchase some gifts and souvenirs and experience the local culture before continuing north to Garmisch for the evening. Once again we stay in a fabulous hotel with secure parking for your bikes.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Oberkirsch
Miles: 269
On day 9 you'll have a 07:30 start as you'll be covering approximately 269 miles. Riding through Austria and into Switzerland, you'll travel south of the Bodensee another vast inland lake which straddles both Switzerland and Germany.

Leaving the mountains of Austria you'll enjoy the rolling hills that are full of grape vines. After stopping for a lunch break we then ride north back into Germany’s Black Forest along the famous B500.
​
Then a short ride to be welcomed by the hotel staff for another relaxing meal at the hotel.
Oberkirsch to Tinqueux, France
Miles: 276
Your penultimate days ride sees us leave the Black Forest and over the border into France as we head off towards the Vosges Mountains .
You'll then ride through Parc naturel régional de Lorraine a sprawling preserve of scenic forests & wetlands, plus medieval ruins & quaint villages.

After a stop for lunch we continue the ride to Tinqueux for our final nights hotel.
​
As this is officially the end of the tour a farewell evening dinner will be enjoyed by all.
Tinqueux to Calais
Miles: 183
Today is where the Black Forest & Alps Adventure sadly comes to an end.
​
It is a relaxing day where you can decide what to visit and where to ride.
​
The tour guides will be heading back to Calais where they will board the train back to the UK.
​
